Madonna took The Pepsi Center by storm, and left controversy in her wake. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to shoot the early songs in the set that caused all the buzz on the web and in the media, but personally I found those parts to be extremely entertaining. The show had a very dark theme, and really showcased Madonna’s recent residence in the directors seat for a few short films. The production that she tours with was first rate in every aspect, and it was that element that made the show for me….with chanting monks rising from the floor, and toy solders floating across the ceiling, and the massive LED wall as a backdrop, there was no bad seat in the house. The automation was something you see in Vegas, so sitting in downtown Denver, I was impressed.
