Bloodkin is the darling of the Athens, GA music scene, and for good reason. The song-writing skills of Daniel Hutchens are at the nucleus of the band’s longevity and deep fanbase. The songs are so deep with insight and personal struggles of the common joe that they have inspired many, including the members of Widespread Panic. So inspired, Widespread Panic took them to the studio and recorded quite a few of the songs on various albums over their career, creating a marriage of sorts and forever cementing the Athens culture in music history a little deeper.
This show was billed as Bloodkin Acoustic featuring only front man Hutchens, founding member Eric Carter, and guitar gun slinger Eric Martinez. But, having the devoted fanbase here in Colorado and large pool of musician friends, the gig quickly morphed into a Bloodkin & Friends show which was all rock-n-roll!
