Having been a deadhead all of my adult life, I can not pass on a chance to see Bob Weir when he comes through town. This show was billed as Bob and Jackie solo acoustic and was a set of each solo, with the added bonus of a third set with them together. To this point, we all know what to expect from Bob Weir’s style of music, warts and all; but for me at least, Jackie Greene solo was a new venture I am glad to have taken. Jackie came out first and played one hell of a set, leaving even a tried and true performer like Bob Weir a tough act to follow. Of course, Bob did what he does best, and gave a rousing performance sans some forgotten lyrics. The third set was a real treat making the whole night a total success.
I was on assignment for Listen Up Denver!, so read Tim Dwenger’s rather honest review. He tells it like it is and I couldn’t agree more. Click here to read the full review published by Listen Up Denver!
