Hailing from Portland, this band is about as original an act as I have seen in a long time. They bring to the stage a combination of style, genre, and performance art unmatched in my concert experience this year. At times, I felt like I was front and center for a parade, the next minute it’s a Cirque du Soleil show, and next song is a burlesque performance…..all with a 14-piece band playing nonstop. To add the pageantry, the house was packed with music fans in costume celebrating Halloween. It was a freak-show of epic proportions and I was loving it!
I was on assignment for Listen Up Denver! this night, so check out the well-written full review by Kelly Hueseman here: http://www.listenupdenver.com/17141/march-fourth-marching-band-october-27th-the-gothic-theatre/
