I was thrilled to get the opportunity to shoot Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters at Red Rocks. He has been a major contributor to my life’s soundtrack, so it was awesome to simply attend the show, let alone photograph it. The performance lived up to every expectation, with a mix of well known but freshly arranged Zeppelin tunes, originals, and cool cover songs that strung together a highly entertaining show. Unfortunately, no photos were allowed to be shot from the pit, but rather from the far right side aisle of the venue above the 20th row, so these reflect that distance and I’ll only share a few.
Supporting act for this show was the Black Angels, who really got the audience into their lively set. This was my first time seeing them and I was glad to finally get a first hand sample of the band making so many waves in the music world. They let me shoot from the pit and so their photos follow Robert’s and are the majority of the slideshow.
